Pura Vida - Día Seis

Today was the last day of planned adventures. With another early pickup by Hightide, we were taken to their shop for some ATV driving lessons. After we passed our driving tests we began our two hour 'mountain tour' through the trails of Tamarindo. Being the rainy season we were blessed with lots of mud on the trails (sometimes so much that it was quite easy to get stuck in big puddles). On the tour was the only time I saw, high in the trees, monkeys on the trip. The trails led us, with a short drive on some [dirt] roads, to the same place we took the canopy tour. We basically turned around there and took the same trails back..which seemed completely different with the change in direction.

After the tour we had lunch at the Taco Stop..which I don't recommend. We had a long wait, partly because they weren't used to having as many patrons at one time. Nobody was very pleased with their meal. I had something that I thought would be similar to a burrito you'd get at Moe's, but I was sorely disappointed. It almost looked the same on the outside, minus the foil, but nothing good was to be found on the inside.

After lunch we went downtown to check out the shops and then headed back to the house where we hung out the rest of the day.
